Mintimer Shaimiev meets with Claude-Louis Gallien and Oleg Matytsin

On July 16 Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev met with FISU President Claude-Louis Gallien, FISU Secretary General Eric Saintrond, FISU First Vice-President, President of Russian Sport Student Union Oleg Matytsin.
Mintimer Shaimiev told guests about the final chess tournament and participants of the meeting exchanged opinions about Universiade.
“Everything is going well. I see positive emotions of people. Universiade is a big responsible work. For such a short period we increased a huge human potential,” Mintimer Shaimiev said.
FISU President thanked Russian and Tatarstan leadership for perfect organisation of the holiday. He noted invaluable help of the President of Russian Sport Student Union Oleg Matytsin. Claude-Louis Gallien also informed that Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and Mayor of Kwangju that will host XXVIII World Summer Student Games decided to make Kazan and Kwangju twin towns.
New areas of cooperation between Tatarstan and FISU were discussed at the meeting.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic.
