Rustam Minnikhanov: “Nefis group demonstrates dynamic development and ambitious plans”

At a field session of OAO “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding” on results of work of Tatarstan oil-gas and chemical industry in the first half of 2013 and activity of Nefis group Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov noted considerable results achieved by Nefis group.
Rustam Minnikhanov introduced new Director General of OAO “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” Oleg Nesterov and presented several awards.
Director General of OAO “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding” Rafinat Yarullin made report on work of oil-gas and chemical enterprises in the first half of 2013. He noted the slowdown in the rate of industrial production growth in global economy that causes decrease in demand for Tatarstan products as well. According to results of the first half of 2013, high growth rates were observed only chemical industry and production of plastic items.
Rafinat Yarullin continued that one of factors that may influence growth of Tatarstan petrochemical industry is focus on domestic market and import substitution.
Production of automotive components demonstrates good dynamics.
Rafinat Yarullin believes that production of goods for children and epoxy resins are perspective areas.
Director General of OAO “Nefis Cosmetics” Dmitry Khaibullin told about activity of Nefis group. Thus, Nefis group profit increased by 27 per cent in 2012 and made 20 bln rubles. The number of employees working at Nefis enterpises made 4300 people. At the market of household chemical goods Nefis Cosmetics has to compete with transnational corporations Procter&Gamble и Henkel.
Nefis Cosmetics actively participates in cooperation of Tatarstan petrochemical enterprises. It supplies 6,6 tonnes of goods to other Tatarstan plants per year.
Dmitry Khaibullin told about company’s development prospects. The major project in the sphere of production of household chemical goods is reconstruction of a plant producing detergents. Another investment programme is being implemented in production of oils and fats. By 2014 the company intends completing creation of the most up-to-date complex for processing rape and sunflower.
The biggest project realized by Nefis group is the enterprise “Nefis bioproduct”.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
