Tatarstan President receives letters of gratitude for perfect organisation of 27th World Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan

Heads of Russian regions and countries that participated in Summer Student Games are sending letters of gratitude addressed to Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
Governor of Kemerovo region Aman Tuleev, Acting President of Dagestan Republic Ramzan Abdulatipov, Governor of Primorsky region Vladimir Miklushevsky, Governor of Astrakhan region Aleksandr Zhilkin, congratulated Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov on successful holding of 27th World Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan.
Governor of Primorsky region Vladimir Miklushevsky said: “For two weeks Kazan was the spotlight for sports fans from all over the world. All competitions were held on the highest level. The wonderful opening and closing ceremonies win the whole audience”.
Most positive comments are being received from sportsmen. Every delegation says that living conditions, sports infrastructure, transport, catering services, and security met the highest standards.
“The level of sports venues is fantastic. All coaches and members of our team highly estimated the work of maintenance staff and volunteers,” Deputy Head of USA sports delegation Nil Holden says.
“On behalf of sports delegation of our country I congratulate you and Organising Committee of 27th World Summer Universiade for perfect organisation of the Games,” Head of Pakistan delegation Yahya Ahmad Khan says.
Deputy Head of UK delegation Nil Rogers thanked for warm reception and hospitality: “I hope that Universiade will leave valuable and long-term heritage to Kazan citizens. I know that participants’ memories and friendship will remain for the whole life. ”
Head of Canadian delegation Tereza Hanson noted: “Our delegation of the most numerous for the whole history of Universiades. Conditions provided at Universiade Village were incomparable. The quality and a variety of meals were better than our sportsmen tasted at Olympic Games.
Sportsmen from Switzerland, Australia and Bangladesh were amazed by Summer Universiade and appreciated high level of organisation.
Head of Pakistan delegation summarized: “Your personal contribution and efforts helped to change Kazan and deserve appreciation. You proved that when you have the will and determination, everything is possible.”
On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
