Tatarstan and Tyumen region agree on development of cooperation

On August 2 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Tyumen region Vladimir Yakushev signed agreement between Tatarstan and Tyumen region on trade-economic, scientific-technical, social and cultural cooperation.
Before the signing ceremony Vladimir Yakushev welcomed Rustam Minnikhanov and thanked Tatarstan Government for holding 13th federal Sabantui in Tyumen.
Governor of the region reminded that in 1998 Tatarstan and Tyumen region signed agreement on main principles of cooperation. He continued that the regions have opportunities for cooperation.
Representative offices of many Tatarstan enterprises, 30 Tatar national ethno-cultural associations are functioning in Tyumen region. There are thousands of books in Tatar language in Tyumen regional library. 8 % of pupils in Tyumen schools are Tatars. They take part in school competitions in Tatar language held in Tyumen in Tatarstan.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, in his turn, said that Tatarstan delegation was visiting Tyumen with great pleasure and reminded about historically developed relations between the regions.
Rustam Minnikhanov addressed Governor of Tyumen region: “We are interested in issues of preservation of language, culture, religion of Tatars and we are glad that you offer such an opportunity. We are always ready to contribute to this activity by providing satellite TV channel in Tatar, online programmes for studying the language, and organizing visits of our artists. ”
“The previous agreement made a considerable contribution to our relations and now we are facing new tasks. We always adopt practices of Tyumen region and I believe that our colleagues are also interested in some of our projects. We hope for a long-term and joint work,” Rustam Minnikhanov summarized.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
