Tatarstan President takes part in federal Sabantui

On August 3 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Tyumen region Vladimir Yakushev took part in 13th federal Sabantui in Tyumen.
The celebrations took place at “Geologist” stadium. Guests could see expositions of Tatar national culture and life, dramatized performances and traditional competitions. 380 representatives of Tatar public organisations from 64 Russian regions took part in Sabantui celebrations.
Rustam Minnikhanov and Vladimir Yakushev welcomed the guests. “Sabantui unites so many regions, it speaks about unity of our country,” Vladimir Yakushev said.
“Sabantui is the main holiday for Tatars, it is held in 23 countries and 53 Russian regions,” Rustam Minnikhanov added.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked event managers and personally Governor of Tyumen region for good organisation of the holiday.
Tatarstan President and Governor of Tyumen region presented Letters of gratitude to activists of Tatar public organisations and announced the federal Sabantui opened.
Rustam Minnikhanov and Vladimir Yakushev shared their impressions about the holiday with journalists:
“Today we see so many good people here. Event managers did their best to make this holiday wonderful. We express special gratitude to regional administration, Mayor’s office, and Nizhnekamsk region that presented their exposition.”
“Almost all regions are presented here today. It is a wonderful holiday that shows Russia’s uniqueness. I hope Sabantui will bring kindness, friendship and creation to Tyumen region,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Governor of Tyumen region Vladimir Yakushev thanked Tatarstan delegation for organisation of the holiday and personally Rustam Minnikhanov for the decision to hold it in Tyumen.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
