Roman Shaykhutdinov says the work of the Innopolis Mayor’s office in 2022 was constructive
On 6 February in the Cultural Center Art Space of Innopolis Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Head of the Verkhniy Uslon region of the republic Marat Ziatdinov, the Prosecutor of Verkhniy Uslon region Vasiliy Egorov, members of the city council and its residents took part in a summarizing meeting of the Innopolis city council.
Reporting about the work of the Innopolis Mayor’s office in 2022, the Mayor of the city Ruslan Shagaleev told about completion of construction of 13 multi-apartment houses, the InnoPark Technical Park, launch of the children’s art school and planting 700 trees and 1600 bushes. He also reported about paying 1.9bn rubles of taxes into the consolidated budget of Tatarstan.
Ruslan Shagaleev attracted special attention to achievements of the Innopolis University and Innopolis Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and told about the economic and construction plans of the city till 2025.
In his speech the Head of Verkhniy Uslon region Marat Ziatdinov informed that there are nearly 1 500 residents of Innopolis, with the city having paid 230m rubles of taxes into the regional budget in 2022. “Innopolis is developing and solving its issues independently, by its own team, not being a burden for the region,” he said.
Giving assessment of work of the Innopolis Mayor’s office, Roman Shyakhutdinov said: “Despite all difficulties because of sanctions, Innopolis managed not just to keep but even to improve social and economic indicators compared to 2021. This is confirmed by the increase of the number of companies in the city (547 which is by 48 more than in 2021) and the growth of the number of residents”.
He gave an errand to the Mayor’s office to pay special attention to issues of providing of public amenities which are becoming especially important, taking into consideration the growth of population and development of infrastructure. He also stressed the importance of attracting developers and small service businesses to the city.
Roman Shaykhutdinov said that the work of the Mayor’s office in developing test legal regimes in Innopolis was constructive and reminded about a regulatory sandbox in operation of unmanned vehicles launched in the IT-city.
“It is also very pleasant that the city, Innopolis University and SEZ are working together dynamically, but this potential should be developed in the spheres of students’ employment, attraction of companies and development of joint projects, including those in technological entrepreneurship,” he concluded.
