Ravil Mutygullin: Young geologists honourably represented Tatarstan at open field competitions in Kazan

On August 13 at a briefing in Kazan Head of Tatarstan Department for Subsurface Use Ravil Mutygullin said that Tatarstan geologists honourably represented the republic at IX All-Russia open field competitions of young geologists in Kazan on August 1-10.
40 teams from 31 Russian regions, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Tadzhikistan took part in the event. The competitions took place at children’s recreation camps “Solnechny” and “Zarechie”. The team from Perm region took the first place, the team representing Tomsk region was the second, and Perm Junior Geologists’ Party No.1 was ranked third.
Ravil Mutygullin noted that preparation for the competitions started in 2011. School faculties for talented children were established at Kazan Federal University and Almetievsk oil institute. During the preparation period 30 children took part in Perm and Moscow competitions. Two teams, “Devon” and “Selenit”, represented Tatarstan at IX All-Russia open field competitions in Kazan. “Devon” took the 7th place, “Selenit” – the 9th.
Ravil Mutygullin noted that competition was very strong at the event.
X All-Russia open field competitions of young geologists will be held in Tyumen in 2015.
Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Artem Sidorov, Deputy Head of Tatarstan geological department of OAO Tatneft on ecology and hydrogeology, Chairman of Tatarstan regional branch of Russian geological society Marat Magdeev took part in the briefing.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
