Rustam Minnikhanov: “Selet is the most powerful and interesting forum in Russia”

On August 15 at the youth forum “Selet” in Alekseevsky region Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the forum will soon be of the same scale as “Sozvezdie-Yoldyzlyk” festival with tens of thousands of participants.
The youth forum “Selet” is held for the second time on August 12-17. This year five thousand people from Tatarstan and Russian regions, Czech Republic, Australia, and United Arab Emirates, winners of regional subject competitions, creative contests and sport competitions, leaders of regional children’s and youth public organisations are taking part in the event.
Rustam Minnikhanov talked to guests and participants. Priority areas of Selet society development were presented to the President.
Rustam Minnikhanov also met with activists of the forum and answered their questions. Timur Suleimanov, the forum leader, told that “Selet” appeared as a camp for 65 talented children in Arsk town in 1994. It is now the system for work with talented youth.
Timur Suleimanov presented the “road map” showing development of Selet movement. He believes that in 3-5 years Selet club will appear in every school. Rustam Minnikhanov noted that it will enable using gained experience of working with talented children. He also supported the idea of creating Selet TV channel and asked to interact with Tatmedia agency on this issue.
Finally, Tatarstan President promised that the concept of the movement development will be approved by regional leadership.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
