Head of RT Government Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated teachers on their professional holiday

Rustam Minnikhanov announced at the celebration of Teacher’s Day in “Korston Hotel and Mall” (Kazan) that modern teacher is the basis of intellectual potential of Tatarstan.
A teacher gives a start in life and responsibility is enormous. Teaching is a hard work which unfortunately isn’t always assessed properly.

RT Prime Minister thanked teachers on behalf of republic government for their difficult work and presented letters of commendation and titles “Honoured teacher of the Republic of Tatarstan”.

For today 40 000 teachers work in Tatarstan. 2 000 specialists work in correction schools, 300 teachers-in night schools. 3,7 000 teachers of retirement age work in comprehensive institutions. There’s a tendency of young specialists decrease in republic schools as well as in Russian. In 2005 6 000 teachers worked in education sphere, in 2007 - 4, 2 000 people.

According to data for May, 2008 teachers of mathematics, physics and biology are the most in-demand specialists.
