Tatarstan President holds a session of experts within the framework of Interra forum

On September 6 at an expert session “Development and increase of efficiency of regional innovation infrastructure” in Novosibirsk within the framework of international innovation forum “Interra-2013”, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov told about Tatarstan experience in development of innovation infrastructure.
In his welcoming speech, Tatarstan President told about innovation infrastructure of the republic.
He reported that in 2012 the share of innovative products in the regional industrial production made 18.3%, which is 3.5% higher compared to 2011.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, 20 innovation infrastructure platforms were founded in Tatarstan. “We are actively building technoparks in municipal regions, studying Chinese experience where large platforms are created in regions,” Tatarstan President said.
Kama innovation production cluster is one of the largest platforms for industrial innovative development in Tatarstan. According to Rustam Minnikhanov, by 2020 the production volume in the cluster wll increase up to 2 trillion rubles.
In 2012 the profit of “Khimgrad” technopolis made 11.4 bln rubles, and is expected to make 14-15 bln rubles in 2013. Rustam Minnikhanov noted that currently it is a free-standing project.
The research nanotechnology center was established in Tatarstan in cooperation with Rosnano. Two successful production projects and training programmes have been launched in this area.
Tatarstan started implementing IT project “Innopolis” with the federal support.
Tatarstan President noted that in order to develop innovation production it is necessary to provide necessary conditions.
Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized importance of education in the innovation process and said that school and higher education systems need to be modernized to meet modern requirements.
Representatives of regions – members of the Association of innovative regions of Russia told about their experience in development of innovation infrastructure. A variety of successful projects implemented at technoparks, methods of organization and functioning of infrastructure objects were presented.
Governor of Novosibirsk region Vasiliy Yurchenko, Governor of Tomsk region Sergey Zhvachkin, representatives of regions – members of the Association of innovative regions of Russia took part in the session.
On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
