RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov offered to correct the program of housing construction subject to the crisis in World banking system

Marat Khusnullin, Head of RT Ministry of Construction announced at the videoconference meeting that 203 000 m² of housing were constructed in Tatarstan in September. The meeting was held in RT Cabinet with participation of RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov.
Upon the whole 1 million 654 thousand m² houses were constructed in republic for October, 1. Thus, yearly task is done for 76, 4 %.
Rustam Minnikhanov considers that the individual housing construction should be the first-priority measure in connection with unstable economic situation. He also offered to correct 3-year housing construction program subject to the changes in world economy and decrease of purchase ability of the citizens. Moreover, it’s necessary to work out the terms for further development of social mortgage in Tatarstan.
Marat Khusnullin, RT Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing informed that out of 203 000 m² of housing 108,8 000 m² were constructed in Kazan, 11,4 000 m²– Zelenodolsky district, 6,3 000 m²– Bugulminsky and other districts. It’s necessary to construct 511 000 m² of commercial housing, 537 000 m² - according to State Housing Fund plan till the end of 2008.
The participants also discussed construction plans for 2009.
On 9 June upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport, the Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov was welcomed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin.
In Kazan Sergey Lavrov will take part in a meeting of the Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of State-Participants of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
On 5 May, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that currently 63 school catering units are under repairs with the amount of work completed reaching 15 per cent.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
