Tatarstan President: the basis of all our victories is transport accessibility and infrastructure

On September 13 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Minister of Transport Maksim Sokolov took part in a plenary session of the 1st International transport and logistics forum in Kazan. The forum was organized by Russian Ministry of Transport and Tatarstan Government.
350 businessmen and government structures from 25 Russian regions and seven countries are taking part in the forum. A wide range of issues connected with development of transport industry and logistics will be discussed at the event. A pilot project of the Federal transport system development programme and major investment transport and logistics projects will be presented at the forum. One of them is Sviyazhsk multimodal interregional logistics centre.
Moreover, urgent issues of developing transport corridors and transport-logistics systems will be discussed.
Before the plenary session Russian Minister of Transport Maksim Sokolov, Azerbaijan Minister of Transport Ziya Mamedov and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov looked around the exhibition demonstrating major investment projects in the industry.
Later on Maksim Sokolov presented awards to workers of transport and logistics industry who made contribution to preparation of transport and road infrastructure for Universiade 2013.
Head of Russian Ministry of Transport said that modern transport infrastructure with an airport complex was created during preparation for Universiade. He also mentioned the projects of Sviyazhsk multimodal interregional logistics centre, and construction of high-speed railway Moscow-Kazan that are currently being implemented.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
