Roman Shaykhutdinov: Opening of an office in China is an important step in development of the Innopolis University projects
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov together with representatives of the administration of the City of Hangzhou took part in a ceremony of opening an office of the Innopolis University in China, which will be used for promotion of the University and Tatarstan products and educational services in the Chinese market and fostering of the mutually beneficial trade turnover.
Within the framework of the expanding cooperation, the city is planning to supply equipment, robots, electronics and microelectronics and parts for remotely piloted aircraft. As far as the sphere of education is concerned, the parties are going to solve issues of students and academic exchange between the University and Chinese partner-educational institutions.
The parties will also cooperate in export of technologies, implementation and promotion of research and technological projects and digital laboratories, organization and participation in branch exhibitions and forums and localization of solutions of the Russian IT-university in China.
Speaking at the ceremony, Roman Shaykhutdinov, who is the representative of the Innopolis University Supervisory Council, said: “Opening of an office in China is an important step in development of the Innopolis University innovative and educational projects and scaling them up in the markets of friendly countries. We are all out for global academic and innovational mobility, and the cooperation with Chinese colleagues opens for us new opportunities for exchanging knowledge, experience and technologies which is especially important on the eve of the BRICS summit which will take place in Kazan next year.
During the ceremony the Innopolis University signed an agreement with the Zhejiang Intellectual Property Exchange Center Co., Ltd and four key partners, namely the largest plant of collaborative and industrial robotics in China Shanghai Zhongke SIASUN Robot&Automation Co.,Ltd; the SynoData Company, which produces chips and accompanying technologies, the manufacturer of robots for logistics and industry automatization the InplusMobot Company; and the RobotCT Development CO., LTD – a high tech center for development and manufacture of exoskeleton robots and intelligent control technologies in robotics.
