More than 4 thousand Tatarstan citizens to leave for military service this autumn

150 Russian citizens, including 4 thousand people from Tatarstan will leave for military service this autumn.
This year’s draft is special because amendments to the Federal law “Concerning Military Duty and Military Service” have come into force since August, 1 and September, 1, Military Commissar Sergey Pogodin said. According to amendments, citizens who did military service in another state will be exempted from the military service in Russia only if they have relative international contracts.
Besides, students attending preliminary causes at federal state universities right after finishing school will be given draft deferment for no more than 1 year. Postgraduate and residency students being on probation have the right for draft determent as well.
Sergey Pogodin noted that the number of draft evaders will be reduced eventually. This year about 20 thousand people will be sent for draft board in Tatarstan. By and large, more than 4 thousand citizens will be called up to the military service in the Armed forces, internal military forces and other military forces.
On 24 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a charity action “The Christmas Tree of Wishes” held during the 17th session of the State Council of the republic of the seventh convocation.
The Head of the Government of the republic will fulfill wishes of five-year old Landysh who dreams of a guitar, 13-year old Zariva who will get a smart speaker, eight-year old Leyla dreaming of a bike and 16-year old Evelina who will be given an e-book.
On 20 December, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and House Utilities Sector of the republic Damir Shaydullin informed that huge work in capital overhaul of 713 social and cultural facilities have been completed in the republic with the total cost of work of 15bn rubles.
On 20 December, in his address on the occasion of the Russian Security Bodies Officers Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated employees and old stagers of the service with their professional holiday and wrote: “
Throughout the history of our state, security agencies have stood guard over national interests of Russia and protected the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country. Your high professionalism, courage and dedication to duty are a reliable shield against external and internal threats.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
