Vice-Speaker of the Federation Council: Kazan is becoming the center of international cooperation

On October 2 within the framework of V international investment forum Kazansummit’13 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Vice-Speaker of the Federation Council Ilyas Umakhanov.
Tatarstan President thanked the Federation Council and personally Ilyas Umakhanov for participation in forum organization.
“The forum is very important for Russia and we must do our best to raise the status of this event in the country,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Ilyas Umakhanov admitted that the delegation of the Federation Council is taking part in V Kazansummit forum with great pleasure and pride. “Kazan is becoming the center of international cooperation. I agree with you that forums for different categories of investors should be held in Russia. Therefore, we should promote Kazansummit forum, especially when the country’s leadership places much emphasis on international relations with Islamic world,” Ilyas Umakhanov addressed Tatarstan President.

On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”

Leyla Fazleeva holds a meeting of the commission under the Rais of Tatarstan on the Russian language
On 31 March in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva hold a meeting of the Commission on the Russian language under the Rais of Tatarstan, which considered key issues of supporting and developing Russian language, including new educational initiatives and discussed programmes of popularization of Russian literature and activities to preserve the language heritage.

On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Azat Ziganshin informed that the regional central cleaning up action will be held in the republic on 25 April and clarified that the location of the national cleanup day will be announced later as the site will be chosen taking into account the opinions of Tatarstan residents.
On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional and the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin informed about statistics on the collection of utility bills payments from the population and data on the payment discipline of enterprises and organizations of the republic.
