Rustam Minnikhanov meets with delegation of United Arab Emirates

On October 2 at his meeting with delegation of United Arab Emirates led by Deputy Minister of Economy Abdullah Al-Saleh within the framework of V international investment forum Kazansummit Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov thanked members of the delegation for participation in Kazansummit this year.
“United Arab Emirates is a strategic partner of our country that helps Tatarstan to cooperate with regions of the Persian Gulf. We would like to thank you for opening our representative office in Dubai,” Rustam Minnikhanov said addressing Deputy Minister of Economy Abdullah Al-Saleh.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted developed business relations between Tatarstan and UAE. Tatarstan delegation takes part in annual Dubai economic forum, this year Tatarstan President visited arms exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
According to Tatarstan President, Russian leadership tries to attract foreign investors.
Abdullah Al-Saleh thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for invitation to take part in the forum.
“We do appreciate efforts of Tatarstan leadership on economic development, and contribution to relations between Russia and Islamic countries. We treat you as a close friend of UAE people and thank you for contribution to consolidation of cooperation between Russia and UAE. Today we are here to support these relations,” Abdullah Al-Saleh said.
“We are watching carefully the steps you make to increase region’s investment attractiveness, and we would like to work together,” UAE Deputy Minister of Economy added.
Abdullah Al-Saleh believes that Tatarstan and UAE could cooperate on Smart City project.
Members of UAE delegation told about their activity and made some proposals on cooperation.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
