Ildar Khalikov: Tatarstan and PricewaterhouseCoopers have great potential for cooperation

On October 2 at his meeting with Managing Partner of PwC Russia David Gray, Tatarstan Prime-Minister Ildar Khalikov said that PricewaterhouseCoopers is a long-time and reliable partner of Tatastan in a number of projects and there is great potential for further cooperation.
Opening the meeting, Head of Tatarstan Government congratulated PricewaterhouseCoopers, the partner of Executive Committee of Universiade, on successful completion of the Games. “We are cooperating in other areas as well. We are very pleased that you accepted our proposal to cooperate with Kazan Federal University,” Ildar Khalikov noted.
According to Ildar Khalikov, such projects encourage enterprises and state institutions and lay the foundation for further cooperation.
Tatarstan Prime-Minister expressed his hope that PwC will find new projects within the framework of forum Kazansummit’13, including Innopolis and Smart City projects.
Ildar Khalikov also thanked PricewaterhouseCoopers for their charitable activity and help to children and elderly people.
Managing Partner of PwC Russia David Gray, in his turn, said that it is a great honour for the company to work in Tatarstan, and PwC’s management is impressed by results of the projects, which are under implementation in the region.
David Gray said that the company has plans to expand its cooperation with Tatarstan.
Finally, participants of the meeting expressed their confidence in further successful activity of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Tatarstan.
Vice-Premier – Tatarstan Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov, Head of Unversiade Directorate Vladimir Leonov, Vice-Principal on Economic and Strategic development of Kazan Federal University Marat Safiullin took part in the meeting.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
