Rustam Minnikhanov visits exhibition “French impressionists and their age”

On October 14 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the exhibition “French impressionists and their age” that opened in the centre “Hermitage-Kazan” at the Kazan Kremlin on October 11, 2013. Works of outstanding impressionists form the collection of State Hermitage are presented at the exhibition.

Director of State historical and architectural museum “Kazan Kremlin” Zilya Valeeva said that many pieces of art were brought from the Hermitage for the first time. She added that 2.5 thousand people visited the exhibition the previous weekend.

Most famous pictures of Claude Monet, Henri Matisse, Auguste Renoir, Paul Gauguin, and other impressionists were presented to Rustam Minnikhanov. He was also told about impressionist movement and its history.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the exhibition is a concentration of world-famous masterpieces.

The exposition is open till February 25, 2014.
