Regional project for schoolchildren – “Physics and Mathematics Breakthrough” to be presented in Innopolis
On November 23–24, Innopolis University will host the IT festival for schoolchildren and students “Formula of the Future” with master classes and panel discussions on careers in startups, big tech and science, educational lectures on the exact sciences, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, optical phenomena and space, and a job fair. The event will also include “Physics and Mathematics Breakthrough” – the first in a series of festivals of the regional project of the same name for schoolchildren of 7-11 grades with lectures, interactive stations and math puzzles. Teachers will also attend a methodological seminar on the “Physics and Mathematics Breakthrough” project and a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Roman Shaykhutdinov. Shaykhutdinov reported that the Physics and Mathematics Breakthrough project was launched on the initiative of the Government of Tatarstan in September, and is aimed at increasing the number of schoolchildren interested in mathematics and physics, and is intended to provide support to teachers and students who want to develop and use their abilities in science.
According to the Rector of Innopolis University Aleksander Gasnikov, as many as 100 math clubs and 20 physics and math classes, 1,537 students from 97 schools of the republic have already joined the Physics and Mathematics Breakthrough project. Well-known Russian scientists and researchers held more than 10 open lectures on mathematics in educational institutions of Naberezhnye Chelny, Kazan, Innopolis and other cities. The project continues to scale up, it is planned to involve 4,000 schoolchildren by 2027.
In addition to the festival, the Formula of the Future will include panel discussions on “Where to Start a Career,” “Startup in a Bachelor’s Degree,” and “Work While Studying,” as well as master classes on “Skills of the Future” and “How to Create a Successful Career from Scratch”.
