25 October 2013, Friday

On October 25 Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in the ceremony of launching the gypsum partition block production line at OOO "Fonika gypsum" in Kamsko-Ustinsky region.

The new line for production of partition blocks intended for internal applications in housing facilities is the next development stage of OOO “Fonika gypsum”, which was launched in June, 2013. The new line will be able to produce 300,000 square meters of blocks of high-quality gypsum, which is minded near the plant, per year. The total amount of investments in the plant made 5 bln rubles.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ildar Khalikov noted that it was not by chance that the plant appeared in Tatarstan. “We have large construction volumes. For many years Tatarstan has been ranked third among Russian regions in terms of commissioning housing facilities. Our construction volumes have not reduced even after the Universiade,” Head of Tatarstan Government said.

According to Ildar Khalikov, due to the presence of the plant in the republic the builders will get the whole range of gypsum products directly at site and in cooperation with the manufacturer. “The plant will provide new jobs and salaries for people for many years,” Tatarstan Prime Minister noted.

Ildar Khalikov thanked the investor, builders, gas workers, supervisory bodies for their cooperation in implementation of the large project and wished good luck to the plant’s workers.

Fonika Board Chairman Aleksander Zabarsky, in his turn, thanked the regional leadership for collaboration in starting up the plant.

The honoured guests cut the symbolic ribbon to mark the launching of the new line and looked around the plant afterwards.
