Tatarstan is getting machinery ready for field work in 2025

On 30 November, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Chairman of the regional State Council Farid Mukhametshin and the Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin with all municipalities taking part in it via video conference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that farmers of the republic are finishing harvest of maize, sunflower and sugar beet.

He informed that the sugar beet yield in the current year is 471 centers per hectares and the expected amount of manufactured sugar of more than 250 thousand tonnes.

The regional Minister also informed about 147 thousand tonnes of mineral fertilizers procured by farmers for the future yield of 2025 and work being done to prepare agricultural machinery for field work in 2025. 

Marat Zyabbarov said that 9400 tractors, 2600 combine harvesters and about 1000 sowing and tilling machines will undergo repairs in winter with the work to be completed by 1 April next year. He also informed that farmers fail to procure new vehicles to replace old machinery and as of today they have purchased 363 tractors, 101 grain and 40 forage harvesters and more than 2 300 units of tractor-hauled agricultural machinery and equipment and are expected to purchase about 45 tractors more by the end of the current year.
