Rustam Minnikhanov speaks at session of FISU executive committee to support Krasnoyarsk as a candidate city for hosting winter Universiade 2019

On November 9 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov spoke at a session of FISU executive committee in Brussels (Belgium) where he went with official Russian delegation to take part in presentation of Krasnoyarsk as a candidate city for hosting winter Universiade 2019.
Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that 27th World summer student games were successfully held in Kazan in July 2013. “In May 2008 I promised to hold the best Universiade in the history of FISU, and our 5-year preparatory work finished on July 17. At every stage of our work Russian President and Government supported us,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Tatarstan President noted that the idea to host summer Universiade was positively taken by the population. “Besides new sports and urban infrastructure, we got a great experience of holding major sports international events, and we are ready to share it with Krasnoyarsk colleagues,” he added.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
