Agreement on cooperation signed between Tatarstan and Buryatia

On November 11 at his meeting with Buryatia delegation led by Chairman of Buryatia Government Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Buryatia Republic has rich history, huge reserves of natural resources, and industrial enterprises.
In particular, he said that Buryatia helicopters that are in-demand at global market. Lake Baikal is one of the most famous heritage places in our country, he continued.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan and Buryatia are multi-ethnic republics where different nations live in harmony and peace. He thanked Buryatia leadership for kind attitudeу to Tatars living in the region, and creation of conditions for maintaining identity and culture of Tatar people.
Speaking about areas of potential cooperation, Rustam Minnikhanov said Tatarstan experience in IT sphere, implementation of projects “Open Tatarstan”, “Public control”, “Electronic Government”, development of innovative and industrial platforms may be interesting for Buryatia. Rustam Minnikhanov told in details about Special Economic Zone “Alabuga”.
Rustam Minnikhanov reminded about a big event that was held in Kazan this summer– 27th World Summer Universiade, and mentioned other coming sports events – World Aquatics Championship 2015, and World Football Cup 2018.
Chairman of Buryatia Government Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for supporting their idea and organisation of the visit. He briefly told about economic development of the region and some geographical features.
Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn told about the law on benefits for investment activity in Far East, the Zabaikalye Territory, Buryatia, Irkutsk region and Tuva that will come into force on January 1, 2014. He believes it will give a powerful impetus to economic development of the region.
Summing up, Rustam Minnikhanov and Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn signed Agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical, social and cultural cooperation between Tatarstan and Buryatia.
During their visit to Kazan members of the delegation will also visit IT park, take part in business forum where economic potential of Tatarstan and Buryatia will be presented, visit Kazan Federal University, Aquatics Palace, new football stadium “Kazan-Arena”, OAO “Kzan helicopters”, technopolis “Himgrad”, Agro-industrial park.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic.
