Results of International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World:KazanForum” summarized at a briefing in Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers

On 20 May at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan its participants summarized the results of the International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum-2025” held in Kazan on 13-18 May.

Speaking to journalists, the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic Shamil Gafarov said: “There were 8 500 participants including 500 representatives of Mass Media. These numbers show the growth of participants number by 5 per cent compared to 25% last year.  We also saw the growth of international participants, signed agreements and Ministers of foreign countries who visited Russia and Tatarstan during these days.”

He added that representatives from 96 countries, 82 regions of Russia and 400 honorary guests took part in the Forum.

The Head of the Expert Department of the Rais of the republic Igor Savelyev told about busy programme of the Head of Tatarstan who had 50 officials meetings with heads of foreign delegations and Russian regions and took part in events of the Forum.

The Head of Tatarstan Investments Development Agency (TIDA) Taliya Minullina told that  the Forum Programme had 148 business sessions with participation of 8thousand experts and there were about 10 thousand news items about the Forum in Mass Media including 46 news broadcast at federal resources.

“But the most important is that there are direct contacts established, 130 agreements signed, 75 of them being between countries,” she said.

The Head of the TIDA also said that even though the guests of the Forum highly evaluated the hospitality and cleanness of the republic and Kazan, many of them lacked Arabic-speaking staff and five-star hotels.

 The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Marat Khusnullin, who was the Chairman of the Forum Organizing Committee, said that the financial amount of agreements and memoranda signed at the Forum exceeded 1bn rubles (for more information visit the site of the Russian Government http://government.ru/news/55065/)
