The sowing campaign competed and forage conservation starts in Tatarstan

On 10 June, speaking at a briefing in the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers held with participation of the Director of the regional office of the Rosselkhozbank Lyalya Kudermetova, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov informed that the sowing campaign has been completed and the farmers have started forage conservation all over the republic.

According to Marat Zyabbarov the area under crops in Tatarstan this year amounted to over 2.7 million hectares. At the same time, grain crops occupy 1.3 million hectares, oilseeds - 583 thousand hectares, sugar beets - 53.7 thousand hectares, and forage crops - 752 thousand hectares.

The Minister said that 42.1bn rubles was allocated on financing the spring field works in the current year which is by 3.3bn more compared to 2024, and the wages at agribusiness enterprises made about 60thousand rubles in the beginning of the current summer and might grow depending on the summer field work results.

“This year, the workload of machine operators will be greater, and accordingly, salaries will increase. On top of that, staffing issues affect all industries, so we also need to compete with other industries due to a shortage of people”, Marat Zyabbarov added.

In her turn Lyalya Kudermetova informed that the Rosselkhozbank has allocated 8bn rubles to the development of the agribusiness sector of the republic in the current year, 7,2bn of them being soft loan programmes. She clarified that financing is provided according to 9 programmes of state support measures for the agro-industrial complex.
