Meeting of antiterrorism commission held in Tatarstan on November 17

On November 17, 2013 Tatarstan President held a meeting of the antiterrorism commission in Tatarstan.
Heads of law enforcement authorities reported that a makeshift explosive device was found and disposed in Alekseevsk region of the republic and Nizhnekamsk. A criminal case has been opened over these facts. The investigation is ongoing.
Rustam Minnikhanov asked low enforcement and executive authorities to intensify work on providing safety for citizens, at extremely dangerous objects and enterprises of the economy sector.
On 23 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov took part in the All-Russia charity action “The Fir Tree of Wishes” organized by the Movement of the First.
On 20 December at a meeting of the Commission on prevention and mitigation of emergencies and ensuring fire safety in Tatarstan held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via video conference, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Rustam Nigmatullin said that the today’s meeting is to discuss ensuring fire safety during New Year and Christmas holidays and children’s winter holidays.
On 20 December in his address to Russian security officials, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin on behalf of the Government of the republic congratulated them with their professional holiday and wrote: “Security bodies have always been a reliable support for the state. Representatives of this vocation are people in the shadows but their service is extremely important for the order in our country.
On 19 December before the beginning of the XIX congress of the Association of the Tatarstan Council of Municipalities, the Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin took part in the All-Russia charity action “The Fir Tree of Wishes” and took post cards with wishes of six children from the New Year tree.
