Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in work of government commission on finding out causes of Boeing 737-500 crash in Kazan

On November 18 at a session of governmental commission Head of Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations Vladimir Puchkov informed that 120 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, other federal and regional structures are working at Kazan international airport, where Boeing 737-500 crashed yesterday, on November 17.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Chairman of Interstate Aviation Committee Tatyana Anodina, Russian Minister of Transport Maksim Sokolov, Presidential Envoy in Volga federal district Mikhail Babich, Russian Deputy Minister of Health Airat Farrakhov took part in the meeting of governmental commission on finding out causes of the plane crash in Kazan.

According to Vladimir Puchkov, works on rectification of the consequences of Boeing 737-500 crash are going on. For the purpose of coordination of forces and facilities the working group of governmental commission on prevention and rectification of the consequences of emergency situations of Volga regional centre and Main Department of Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations is working 24 hours.

Russian Minister of Transport Maksim Sokolov informed that three main issues were discussed at the session – interaction with Russian investigation committee, State Aviation Committee, and executive authorities.

As for 2 p.m., by results of work of the Investigation committee and State Aviation Committee the decision was made to give more time to investigators to work out the accident consequences.

Russian Deputy Minister of Health Airat Farrakhov informed that two ambulance teams of Regional centre of disaster medicine, 8 psychologists, a group of doctors of forensic medical examination are working in the area.

Ildar Khalikov thanked members of the working group who came to the crash scene, for organisation of work of Ministry of Emergency Situations, Russian Investigation Committee and Ministry of Health.
