Rustam Minnikhanov and Mr. Ho Su Yeng, the President of “KP Chemical” discuss the project of polyethylene terephthalate production

RT Prime Minister met with Mr. Ho Su Yeng, the President of “KP Chemical” (South Korea). They discussed realization of the construction project of the complex for production of polymers (polyethylene terephthalate-PET) in Alabuga special economic zone (Tatarstan).
Robert Minnegaleev, Chairman of “Ak Bars” Bank Administration, Rinat Sabirov, Aide to the Prime Minister on oil, gas and petrochemistry and others presented at the meeting.

In October 2007 “Ak Bars” Bank and “KP Chemical” signed the cooperation agreement.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the project is being realized in difficult economic situation, but Tatarstan is interested in its realization.

The parties discussed logistic point, volumes and sources of material delivery for PET.

RT Prime Minister guaranteed the support of RT Government. He considers that PET production is connected with development of oil-gas-chemical complex in republic.
