On November 27 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in All-Russia meeting on preparation for winter season held by Chairman of Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev.

Opening the meeting, Head of Russian Government said that people’s living conditions for a long period depend on proper preparation for winter season. This year it was rather complicated to carry out preparatory works because of flood in Far East region. Another problem is shallowing of Northern rivers and early end of navigation.

Dmitry Medvedev informed that 2.5 bln m² of housing were to be prepared for winter season. In general, the plan was completed, however, some regions did not manage to carry out preparatory work in time.

One of main negative factors is the increase in fuel and power debts of enterprises of housing and utility sector (113 mln rubles).

Russian Minister of municipal economy Mikhail Men informed that readiness of housing facilities for winter is 99,9%, boiler houses and water supply lines - 100 %, heat supply systems - 99,9%.

By and large, regions planned to allocate 301,7 bln rubles for preparatory works.

Russian Minister of Energy Aleksandr Novak, and Minister of Far East development Aleksandr Galushka made reports at the meeting.
