Ildar Khalikov takes part in extended meeting on results of activity of Tatarstan customs for 2013

On December 11 Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in extended meeting on results of activity of Tatarstan customs for 2013. Head of Tatarstan customs Albert Mavlikov made a keynote report. He noted considerable growth of foreign trade turnover. By results of 11 months of 2013, foreign trade turnover made 7 079,36 mln US dollars.
Participants of foreign economic activity maintained trade relations with 132 countries. Leading export partners were India (20,75%), Belgium (11%), Ukraine (7,35%), import partners – Germany (19,04%), USA (10,04%), Turkey (7,7%).
Main goods shippers are OAO “Nizhnekamskneftekhim”, OAO “Kazan helicopters”, OAO “Kazanorgsintez”, OOO “Torgovy dom KAMA”, OAO “SG-TRANS”, ZAO “Foreign trade company “KAMAZ”. Main goods receivers are OOO “Ford Sollers-Elabuga”, OOO “Ammony”, OAO “KAMAZ”, OAO “Kazan helicopters”, OAO “Tatneft” named after V.D.Shashin, OOO “Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry”.
The amount of funds transferred to federal budget made 19 137,867 mln rubles. 1 028 112 people crossed the border at airport checkpoints.
Albert Mavlikov noted that simplification of a procedure of customs processing and control for fair participants of foreign economic activity go with severe and adequate response measures in relation to customs law violators. He told that in 2013 employees of Tatarstan customs revealed new scheme of customs charges avoidance upon importing cars from Europe.
One of key tasks of customs agencies is providing favourable conditions for doing foreign economic business, and increasing region’s investment potential. 32 investment projects accepted by Tatarstan Government as be priority ones are currently implemented in Tatarstan.
First Deputy Head of Tatarstan customs Maksim Chmora told about support of investment projects. He also told about pilot projects “Unified register of permit documents of the Republic of Tatarstan”, and electronic interaction between customs agencies and companies of OAO “Russian railways”.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Head of Volga Customs Department Egor Afonin informed that Tatarstan customs fulfilled all tasks in 2013 and achieved appropriate results in all activities. He thanked employees of Tatarstan customs for well-organised work.
Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov thanked customs officers for their work in 2013, and especially during summer Universiade on behalf of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. He noted that all priority investment projects are implemented in Tatarstan with participation of customs agencies.
Ildar Khalikov reminded that Chairman of Universiade organizing committee, First Deputy Chairman of Russian Government Igor Shuvalov highly estimated work of Tatarstan customs during summer Universiade 2013.
Summing up, Ildar Khalikov presented state awards – Letters of Gratitude of Tatarstan President and Prime Minister to most distinguished employees.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
