Tatarstan President visits top petroleum educational institutions

On December 16 during his working trip to the South-East of the republic Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Leninogorsk Petroleum College and Almetyevsk State Oil Institute, being part of the educational cluster established by OAO “Tatneft”.
To the point, Leninogorsk Petroleum College was organized by Ministry of Petroleum Industries in 1957 to deliver evening courses. In 1966 the college was reorganized into Leninogorsk Petroleum College, offering full-time, part-time and evening courses.
Currently, there are 1200 full-time and 300 part-time students attending the college. About 400 students graduate from the college every year with 96% of them getting jobs at OAO “Tatneft”, “Gazprom”, “Surgutneftegaz”, “Sibneft”, “YUKOS”, “Lukoil”, “Rosneft”.
Rustam Minnikhanov looked around college classrooms and laboratories and spoke to students.
Later on the same day, Tatarstan President visited a science education center at Almetyevsk State Oil Institute.
The science education center for automated industrial management system was established in 2009 at Almetyevsk State Oil Institute with financial support of OAO “Tatneft”.
Specialized laboratories of the center are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment of top world companies such as Yokogawa (Japan), Roxar (Norway), Emerson, Honeywell, Lufkin Automation, Rockwell Automation, HP (USA), Vega, Samson (Germany).
Having visited educational institutions in Almetyevsk, Tatarstan President held a meeting on training specialists for the regional industry.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
