The amount of fines for incompliance with environmental legislation made 26 mln rubles

On December 24 at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Artem Sidorov informed that the Ministry conducted 6800 inspections at 2600 organisations and industrial enterprises to check compliance with environmental legislation.
He told that citizens who send their requests via state information system “Public control” took an active part in solving sanitary and ecological problems in the republic.
According to Artem Sidorov, a special department will be established in January 2014 to deal with industrial and household waste management. He said that much emphasis should be put on solid waste landfills and unified waste production at enterprises.

On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
