Rustam Minnikhanov met with Vyacheslav Bezborodov, General Director of JSC “Scientific-production Corporation “REKOD”

Rustam Minnikhanov and Vyacheslav Bezborodov discussed the possibilities of space activity results usage for Tatarstan social and economic development.

Shamil Gafarov, Head of RT Cabinet Office, Farid Shagidullin, Aide to Prime Minister on geological issue and consuming of entrails, Nikolay Nikiforov, General Director of Information Technologies Centre also presented at the meeting.

According to Nikolay Nikiforov, nowadays Tatarstan is considered to be a “pilot” region for development and realization of federal target program “The usage of space activity results for social and economic development in Russian Federation and its regions in 2010-2015”.
Tatarstan has already approved the program “The usage of space activity results for social and economic development in Tatarstan in 2010-2015” (approved by RT Cabinet Decree dated October, 15, 2008). It was developed by JSC “REKOD”, Kazan State University, RT Cabinet Office and Information Technologies Centre.

Nikolay Nikiforov informed that a single republic system of transport monitoring with the usage of GLONASS/GPS will be started in 2009.
