Russian Deputy Minister of economic development Oleg Saveliev holds meeting on implementation of investment projects in Tatarstan

On December 25 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting on implementation of investment projects in Tatarstan at high technology park “IT-park” in Kazan. The meeting was held by Deputy Minister of economic development Oleg Saveliev.
In particular, participants of the meeting discussed special economic zone “Innopolis”, special economic zone “Alabuga”, Sviyazhsk interregional multi-modal logistics centre, ANO “Innopolis University”.
Minister of Transport and Roads Lenar Safin told about Sviyazhsk interregional multi-modal logistics centre that can become the place for freight handling within the framework of the project of the international transport corridor “Western Europe – Western China”. He also reminded that the project is a part of federal programme “Development of Russian transport system in 2010-2015”.
Oleg Saveliev asked about the structure of traffic flows that will be serviced by the logistics centre, and its competitive advantages.
Director General of special economic zone “Innopolis” Igor Nosov told about the project in details.
Rector of autonomous non-commercial organisation “Innopolis University” Aleksandr Tormasov told about the university concept, cooperation with Carnegie Mellon University, and MA teaching training programmes.
Director General of special economic zone “Alabuga” Timur Shagivaleev told about work with resident companies and expected proceeds by results of 2013.
Oleg Saveliev and Rustam Minnikhanov discussed future investments into special economic zone “Alabuga”, attraction of new residents and expansion of the zone.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
