Results of New Year holidays summarised at Tatarstan Government House

Results of New Year and Christmas holidays were summarised at Tatarstan Government House on January 9.
The Minister of Youth Affairs, Sport and Tourism Rafis Burganov reminded about the Olympic Torch Relay ceremony that was recently held in the republic. 370 torch bearers took part in the event.
According to Rafis Burganov, 15 skating rinks and 6 ski tracks were open during the holidays. The occupancy of Kazan hotels made 75-80 per cent. The most attractive venue was “Kazan” ski complex, with 2-2.5 thousand visitors every day.
The Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin told about cultural public events that were held during New Year holidays. Thus, New Year performances were held at all cultural state, municipal and non-profit organisations on December 25-January 8. All events were held in accordance with the schedule, no incidents registered. About 200 thousand spectators took part in events held at state art and cultural venues.
Deputy Head of Russian Minister of Emergency Situations in Tatarstan Sergey Sergeev, in his turn, reported that 67 fires with 7 fatal cases were registered in the republic on December 31-January 8. No fires occurred at public venues.
Tatarstan Minister of the Interior carried out all necessary measures to ensure safety during the holidays.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
