Tatarstan has to present the stabilization program for labour market to federal government

Airat Shafigullin, RT Minister of labour, employment and social care informed that according to the predictions the number of unemployed people in Tatarstan can make 61 000 by the end of 2009.
For January, 1, 2009 25,5 thousand people are unemployed in republic. The unemployment rate is 1,33 % from the number of economically active population (in comparison with 2008 it has increased by 0,07 %).
In fact, today about 80 000 people work half-time in republic. Mainly they’re employees of JSC “KAMAZ”, “KVART” Ltd., “Nizhnekamskshina”, “Nefis Cosmetics”, “Tatnefteprovodstroy”, “Tatelectromontazh”. 349 enterprises informed about the reduction of 6 100 people.
Airat Shafigullin supposes that 190-200 thousand people may get into trouble in 2009. In summer 70 000 people will finish schools, institutions of primary and secondary professional education, about 19 000 people will not continue education and won’t be able to find a job.
Moreover, there’re 12 000 foreigners in republic which very often cannot be replaced by local staff because of their high professional skills or particular speciality.
The number of vacancies has also reduced. For November, 1, 2008 there were 34,6 thousand vacant places, nowadays the number is 11,8 thousand.
Tatarstan has to present the stabilization program for labour market to federal government by January, 15. The program contains personnel training and retraining, orientation of youth for engineering professions, advance training.
On 9 June upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport, the Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov was welcomed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin.
In Kazan Sergey Lavrov will take part in a meeting of the Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of State-Participants of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
On 5 May, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that currently 63 school catering units are under repairs with the amount of work completed reaching 15 per cent.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
