Tatarstan President meets with Russian Ambassador to Sultanate of Oman

On January 16 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with new Russians Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to the Sultanate of Oman Envarbik Fazelyanov, who was appointed by the Presidential Decree, in Moscow.
To the point, Envarbik Fazelyanov has been engaged in diplomatic activities since 1987 and was Russian Ambassador to Sudan for 6 years.
Envarbik Fazelyanov and Rustam Minnikhanov discussed issues of further cooperation and establishment of more close trade and economic relations between the Sultanate of Oman and Tatarstan at the meeting.
To the point, Tatarstan carries out active work on establishment and development of trade and economic, scientific-technical and socio-cultural cooperation with Russian regions and foreign countries. The republic is interested in broadening mutually beneficial relations, enhancing business and economic contacts with Middle East countries, including the Sultanate of Oman.
Currently, Oman is diversifying its economy, expanding production facilities and showing a special interest in innovative and technological developments, including oil and gas industry. Tatarstan economy, in its turn, comprises such industries as oil production, petrochemical industry and oil refining, engineering industry, aircraft and helicopter building, special attention is paid to development of innovative technologies and their implementation to the real sector of economy. Both regions are interested in cooperation in the sphere of educational programmes, tourism and cultural relations.
Mr. Ambassador thanked Tatarstan President for the meeting and presented him his book “Dialogue of civilizations. Russia and the Muslim world” published in 2013.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
