State and municipal archives accomplished more than 125,000 inquiries in 2013

On January 17 at an extended session of the Main Archives Department at the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers on results of work in 2013 and setting tasks for 2014 it was reported that Tatarstan state and municipal accomplished more than 125,000 topical, genealogical and social-legal inquiries in 2013.
Head of Main Archives at the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Danil Ibragimov made a keynote report. He said that new documents related to economic, social and cultural development of the republic were added to the Tatarstan Archives Foundation in 2013.
It was also reported that implementation of information technologies in archive-keeping continued last year.
The work in the sphere of international and interregional cooperation in terms of performance of the agreement on cooperation with archive services of Russia also continued in 2013. The exchange of archive materials with Organization of National Library and Archives of Egypt has started. Contacts with Vatican Secret Archives has been established.
He also pointed out that 781 researches from the USA, Germany, Great Britain, Poland, Turkey, China, CIS countries and Russian regions worked in reading halls of the regional archives last year.
Ildar Khalikov, who took part in the session, noted that the department has fulfilled the tasks set for the last year.
Tatarstan Prime Minister pointed out that it is necessary to continue work on classification and digitalization of documents.
At the end of the session employees of the Main Archives Department at the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers were awarded based on results of their work in 2013.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects.
