Tatarstan President requires from prosecution bodies to report on displays of terrorism and extremism

On January 20 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin, and Counsellor to Russian Prosecutor General Aleksandr Gavrilov took part in a session of Tatarstan prosecution bodies on results of work in 2013.
Speaking at the session, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that last year was not easy for the republic, and everyone had to work hard. “Together we managed to hold Universiade at the highest level, ensure overall safety and public order. Employees of prosecution bodies made a considerable contribution controlling execution of normative and legal acts timely and strictly. Thank you for that,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Tatarstan President focused on tasks to be fulfilled by employees of prosecution bodies this year. In particular, much attention should be paid to interaction with law enforcement bodies.
Speaking about counteracting extremism and terrorism, Rustam Minnikhanov reminded about incidents that happened last year in Tatarstan, and called for making timely assessments. Special attention should be paid to media publications that contain incorrect and provocative information.
Issues of migration legislation also need to be constantly controlled, the President said.
Rustam Minnikhanov also mentioned observance of legislation in housing and utility sector and labour legislation saying that it should be thoroughly controlled by prosecution bodies.
Rustam Minnikhanov also complained about one-size-fits-all approach to processing citizens’ appeals.
Summing up, Tatarstan President reminded about State Council elections to be held this year and asked to provide observance of laws during the election campaign.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
