Marsel Imamov: “250 Tatarstan residents use maternal capital to pay for mortgage”

Chief of RF Pension Fund Department in Tatarstan has informed about legislation amendments referred to maternal capital. State maternal capital certificate is assigned for those women, who gave birth or adopted the second or the third child since January, 1, 2007. As for men they also have the right for family capital. The sum of maternal capital makes 299731 RUR.

Since January, 1, 2009 it may be used for buying or construction of housing. To do this a person should apply for local Pension Fund Department. All necessary documents are listed on the website of RF Pension Fund. The mortgage credit has to be drawn up till December, 31, 2009.

Marsel Imamov emphasized some legislation amendments. In accordance with new rules husbands may use maternal capital to pay for mortgage. It’s necessary to have wife’s agreement in a written form and marriage certificate. Thus, subject to legislation, the housing purchased in this way has to be in ownership of all members of a family.
