Total area of housing stock makes more than 90 mln m² in Tatarstan

On January 25 at a regional meeting held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov the issues related to modernization in the sphere of housing and municipal economy and improvement of quality of services were discussed at Tatarstan Government House.
Tatarstan Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Municipal Economy Irek Faizullin made a keynote report about the housing stock in Tatarstan. As of today, the total amount of the regional housing stock is more than 90 mln m², which makes 17311 multi-apartment houses. In particular, 91% of the total amount of the housing is privately owned, 7% belongs to municipalities and 2% is in state ownership. It was reported that 60% of the population in Tatarstan lives in multi-apartment houses with the total amount of 67 mln m².
Speaking about the structure of the municipal economy sector, Irek Faizullin said that more than 350 utility providers are operating in this sphere.
Speaking at the meeting, Director General of ZAO “Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Kazan” Rinal Khanbikov reported that the amount of the consumed gas made 840.5 mln m³ with the payment rate making 91%. As of January 24, 2014, the amount of overdue payments for the consumed resources made 766.2 mln roubles.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov asked to put things in order with payments for consumed resources and prevent the growth of debts.
Besides, Rustam Minnikhanov offered to find a way how to stimulate the growth in the use of electronic payments in the housing and municipal economy sector.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
