Student of the year-2013 studies at Kazan Federal University

On January 25 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin took part in presentation of awards of the annual student contest “Student of the year” at Volga academy of physical culture, sport and tourism.
Speaking at the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov said that presentation of awards became a bright event that gives a lot of cheerful emotions. During the ceremony a video about preparation for World summer Universiade in Kazan was shown to the audience. Rustam Minnikhanov thanked volunteers and everyone who came to see the competitions.
Tatarstan President noted that one of republic’s advantages is its educational potential, and Tatarstan higher educational institutions are excellent educational centres. He also liked the idea of Chairman of the Russian Union of Youth Pavel Krasnorutsky to hold All-Russia final of the contest “Student of the year-2013” in Kazan.
The winner of the contest is Ildar Khuzzyatov, who studies at the 5th course at Kazan Federal University. Rustam Minnikhanov informed that the Grand Prix winner would have an opportunity to study at one of top world universities.
Farid Mukhametshin announced Kazan Federal University as the winner in the nomination “Higher educational institution of the year”. He also presented a certificate for a study trip of three students of the Institute of international relations, history and oriental studies to Headquarters of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg during 2014.
A special prize was presented to Volga academy of physical culture, sport and tourism for contribution to supporting student initiatives.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
