Ildus Faskhutdinov, minister of transport and road construction: “No project-freeze in Tatarstan road sector is planned”

The briefing with agenda “Development of transport-and-road complex in 2009” has been held in RT Cabinet. According to Ildus Faskhutdinov no project freezing is planned in road sector. The expenses may be cut due to decrease of prices for road materials, fuels and lubricants. He also emphasized that no firings in road sector would take place. On the contrary, transport-and-road complex is in need of qualified personnel.
Head of “Glavtatdortrans” Lenar Safin told that 6,885 billion RUR are planned to be spent for road works program in 2009. 1,17 billion RUR – for construction and reconstruction of auto roads and bridges. Under the budget article”Repair works of auto roads for restoration of technical qualities and maintenance of traffic safety it is meant to spend 1.45 bln. roubles for 299 km of road stretch.
The program for 2009 provides 2 billion roubles for maintenance of auto roads and bridges.
Besides, it is planned to implement repair works on 70.3km. by existing network of cold recycling in amount of 609.8 bln.roubles. It has been envisaged as well to make asphault-concrete covering of 137 km. of roadways.
On 9 June upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport, the Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov was welcomed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin.
In Kazan Sergey Lavrov will take part in a meeting of the Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of State-Participants of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
On 5 May, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that currently 63 school catering units are under repairs with the amount of work completed reaching 15 per cent.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
