Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in presidium session of Presidential Council for modernisation

On February 4 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in presidium session of Presidential Council for Economic Modernisation and Innovative Development of Russia held by Chairman of Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev in Belgorod.
Dmitry Medvedev noted that the session would be dedicated to energy generation, production of different substances and materials used in medicine, veterinary, agriculture, light and food industry.
According to Dmitry Medvedev, by 2025 global market of biotechnologies will make 2 trillion dollars. Thus, Russian Government is meant to bring biotechnological production to 1 per cent of GDP.
Russian Minister of industry and trade Denis Manturov informed that hydraulic power industry is the most developed area of renewable power generation in Russia. He added that our country is ranked 5th by the volume of generated power at hydro power stations. At the same time, other renewable power resources produce only 0.3 per cent of country’s power. Russian enterprises process 28 per cent of agricultural wastes.
Among most prospective areas Denis Manturov pointed out production of feed protein and biotechnology- based production of chemicals.
It was noted that aquaculture is another prospective renewable power resource. Scientists consider it to be a resource for producing biofuel and chemical industry.
Denis Manturov also told about a complex programme of biotechnology development till 2020. Biotechnology projects are already being implemented in some Russian regions.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
