Rate of unemployment in Tatarstan made 1,65 % from economically active population

According to RT Deputy Minister of labour, employment and social care Klara Tazetdinova for 20 days in January growth of unemployment in Tatarstan has made 19%. The minister informed about it at the meeting of republic interdepartmental commission for improvement of life standards and income legalization. The videoconference meeting was held by commission chairman Ravil Muratov, with participation of all municipal districts of republic.
In accordance with the latest data 31,5 thousand of unemployed people have been registered in Tatarstan while in the beginning of year the number was 25,5 thousand. Upon the whole, rate of unemployment in Tatarstan is 1,64 %. There are 10 000 job vacancies in labour market.
Klara Tazetdinova also reported on measures which are being taken to resolve problems in labour market under conditions of world economic crisis. Thus, 1,6 bln. roubles have been allocated from federal budget and 52 mln. roubles – from Tatarstan budget. It is meant to create 25 000 working places for public works (guaranteed employment - 50 000 people), 4,5 thousand working places – for self-employment (i.e. starting of business), 6,5 thousand places – for training and retraining of citizens.
According to Klara Tazetdinova the employees of JSC “KAMAZ”, JSC “Tatneft”, plant named after Sergo, Bugulma Electric Pumps Plant would have public works.
For the present day 1180 people are assigned to public works, 298 people are working in agriculture, 297 – building sector, 75 – trade and public food service.
Representatives of Administrations from Baltasinsky and Alkeevsky municipal districts also reported at the meeting. Thereby, for January, 20 there are 334 unemployed people in Baltasinsky district.
Ravil Muratov said that industrial production index has decreased for 25 % in January. Moreover, the tendency for arrears of wages growth has been noted in republic.
Summing up, RT first vice premier urged municipal authorities to control the current situation and take all necessary measures.

In Kazan Sergey Lavrov will take part in a meeting of the Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of State-Participants of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
On 5 May, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that currently 63 school catering units are under repairs with the amount of work completed reaching 15 per cent.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
