Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in 46th session of local council of Cheremshan municipal region

On February 11, at the 46th session of the local Council of Cheremshan municipal region Head of the region Nail Zaripov reported that in 2013 the gross regional product of Cheremshan region made 12.5 bln roubles with an 8 percent increase compared to the previous year.

Nail Zaripov made a keynote report on results of social and economic development of Cheremshan municipal region in 2013 and tasks for 2014.

The regional budget expenses made 577 billion roubles with 76 percent of the budget spent on the social sphere. The average monthly salary at main regional enterprises made 18,767 roubles. It was also reported that 1,711 million tonnes of oil was recovered in the region.

Speaking about other industries, it was mentioned that 24,000 tonnes of loose chippings were produced in Cheremshan region and the figure is expected to increase to 65,000 tonnes per year.

During his speech Nail Zaripov asked the regional leadership to assist in preserving villages in the region. In particular, some settlements had no schools and kindergartens because there are no children or pregnant women there, he reported.

Speaking at the session, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, in his turn, emphasized that the region had great potential. Rustam Minnikhanov noted positive dynamics in modernization and improvement of the regional territory, as well as negative demographic rates, absence of production facilities and jobs.

“Nobody but you can create new jobs. You have to change your attitude to work and the region. You should made use of family farms, private farmsteads, participation in regional programmes. You are not employing all your reserves,” Rustam Minnikhanov said addressing the audience.

Summing up, Rustam Minnikhanov presented a number of awards to the best workers of Cheremshan municipal region.
