Rustam Minnikhanov held the board meeting of RT Ministry of youth affairs, sports and tourism covering its work in 2008 and tasks for 2009.
In the meeting took part RF Deputy Minister of sport, tourism and youth policy Natalia Parshikova, President of Russian student sport union Oleg Matytsin, Deputy of the Russian State Duma Ildar Gilmutdinov, Secretary General of Russian Olympic committee, Yury Yuryev.
Rustam Minnikhanov said that the main sport achievement in the republic was winning of the right to hold the World student summer games in 2013. He also assured the participants that despite world finance crisis all sport objects for Universiade-2013 would be built.
RT PM emphasized that 7 bln. roubles would be allocated from federal budget for construction of Universiade village and other sport objects.
Rustam Minnikhanov is sure that upon holding Universiade-2013 the city of Kazan is due to become a well-known capital across the world. Thus, it should influence development of tourism in the republic. He marked as well the work of RT Ministry of youth affairs, sports and tourism in 2008 and thanked federal structures for support.
RT Minister of youth affairs, sports and tourism Marat Bariev, Director of municipal unitary enterprise “Directorate of Universiade-2013” Vladimir Leonov, Secretary General of Russian Olympic committee Yury Yuryev, Head of Elabuga municipal unit Ilshat Gafurov also made reports at the collegium.
On 12 January, congratulating employees of the prosecutor’s office with their professional holiday - Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation- Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin wrote in his address:
“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
