Rustam Minnikhanov: Chinese partners may be interested in running their business in Tatarstan

On March 3 at his meeting with delegation of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China, at Tatarstan Government House, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that spheres for cooperation with Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region would be determined and a working group created at the meeting.
Welcoming members of the delegation, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked employees of Chinese Embassy in Russia for supporting all initiatives within the framework of Russian-Chinese relationships, and added that Tatarstan delegation is going to visit Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in April.
Tatarstan President reminded that for the last few years Chinese delegations visited Tatarstan as one of industrially developed regions in Russia several times. Tatarstan officials actively cooperate with Chinese partners, visited Shenzhen province a few times and the Agreement was signed with Shandong. Cooperation was established with Harbin area, Confucius Institute was opened at Kazan Federal University. Moreover, it is planned to open a representative office of the Republic of Tatarstan in China.
“We also count on members of Tatar diaspora living in China who can favour development of trade, economic, and cultural cooperation with China. Due to rapid development of China, Chinese partners may be interested in running their business in Tatarstan. We can offer developed infrastructure, investment platforms such as special economic zone “Innopolis”, “Smart City Kazan” project,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Members of the delegation told about geographic location and economic situation of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, and noted that Tatarstan is one of the main partners for the region. The main purpose of our visit is establishment of new business contacts, cooperation in agricultural, scientific, educational and cultural spheres, they added.
Representatives of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region invited Tatarstan partners to the region to study economic situation and expand business contacts.
Plenipotentiary Minister, Counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs of Chinese Embassy in Russia Di Zhang, Aide to Tatarstan President on International and Foreign Economic Affairs Radik Gimatdinov, Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov, Board Chairman of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageev took part in the meeting.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects.
