Delegation of Tatarstan has taken off to Harbin

Tatarstan delegation consists of mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, the members of organizing committee Universiada-2013 in Kazan, the representatives of city administration, the RT Ministry on affairs of youth, sports and tourism.
President of the Russian student's sports union Oleg Matytsin and minister on affairs of youth, sports and tourism Marat Bariev already for several days have been staying in Harbin where they take part in conferences and sessions. During the stay in China the delegation of Tatarstan will visit a number of sports objects in Harbin and other cities, including a mountain-skiing complex where biathlonists and snow-boardists get trained.
Tatarstan is presented in Universiada 2009 by more than 30 sportsmen who will perform in three kinds of sports - high-speed run on skates (Ekaterina Lukojanova from Zelenodolsk will start on distances of 500 and 1000 meters), hockey ("Ak Bars" players) (Kazan), Leningorsk о and Almetyevsk "Neftyanik"), synchronous skating ( team "Tatarstan").

On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.

On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
