Tatarstan Prime Minister meets with Chinese businessmen

On March 5 at their meeting within the framework of the International investment forum “Invest in Tatarstan” Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and the delegation of Chinese businessmen headed by President of Association of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia Cai Guiru discussed prospects of cooperation between People’s Republic of China and Tatarstan.
Opening the meeting, Ildar Khalikov welcomed members of the Chinese delegation to Tatarstan and thanked them for taking part in the forum. Ildar Khalikov noted that China is the strategic partner of both Tatarstan and Russia.
Cai Guiru, in her turn, said that the Association includes 4,000 enterprises and many of them may be interested in opportunities available in Tatarstan. According to Cai Guiru, Chine is going to increase the volume of outward investments by USD 500 billion and part of these funds may be invested in Tatarstan.
Ildar Khalikov noted that Tatarstan is interested in Chinese investments in the field of agriculture and refining of petrochemicals.
Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov took part in the meeting.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
